However, I was completely wrong with that assumption. Black Chip Poker is the new poker room I have been waiting to see. Everything from A to Z is refreshingly new at Black Chip Poker. The lobby or main screen is crisp and clean and has a nice color scheme. Black Chip Poker’s menus are basic and very simple to navigate. The site’s graphics are not an in your face style but are uncluttered and easy to read. Black Chip Poker has a modest amount of players at off-peak play times. I was able to play at four different tables at 4:00 am and this is good for an up and coming poker site. Black Chip Poker’s tournament menu is great. It offers a tournament for every poker player and a few of these tournaments include the off-beat poker variant games. The Hold’em ring games at Black Chip were very busy at the micro and low levels. Several Hold’em tables had at one point in time up to eleven players on the waiting to play list. The Hold’em limit and pot limit tables only had three to four tables in play. This was also held true for the off-beat poker games such as Omaha High-Low and 7-card stud. I noticed two things at Black Chip Poker that are negatives for me. The first is, when a new player registers at Black Chip Poker their software opens Internet Explorer and it is from there the player must register. This same scenario happens when a player wishes to make a deposit. This is a complete waste of time to me. The second negative is Black Chip Poker only offers U.S. players’ Visa credit card for depositing. At least this was all I was offered when I went to the cashier. Although Visa is the only deposit offered by Black Chip Poker the deposit limits are super. A player can play at the site for as little as a $10.00 deposit. The maximum deposit limit is $100.00, which is the norm for 99% of the online poker sites that accept U.S. players.
