To most people around the world the "sky" brand is a household name. They are a leader in subscription tv and have been around for more years than I can remember. This already tells us players that any product with the "sky" name on it can be trusted. So of course when they started up their gambling website, people already knew how great it would be. Firstly they have multiple forms on gambling on offer and not just poker. It is split into 4 sections, "sky bet", "sky poker", "sky vegas" and "sky bingo". They clearly do cater for almost any player. New members as expected get some really good offers. As you may of noticed, signing up through LCB gives you a £20 no deposit bonus which is great to become familiar with the software. They have a lot of promotions to offer. These include a £25,000 monthly tournament and "happy hour" promotions. Not surprisingly they host numerous real sky poker tournaments in multiple places around the UK where prizes are huge. They have a poker championship with £500,000 in prize money. When you login you can see that they have a lot of rooms and while these are not as busy as some other poker sites, there are usually a lot of players you can play against. Currently at 4AM UK time there are 173 people playing which means you wont ever be short of a game. As expected their support is spot on and they payout really quickly. I had a withdrawal that was processed in around 48 hours which is no time at all. Overall sky are a name you can trust. They are very well known and will of course be around for many years to come. They have everything to cater any poker player and since they offer other games such as slots and bingo, there is always fun to be had. On the name alone I would highly recommend them. The problem nowadays is there are so many great sites to play at on the internet and sky poker are another one to add to that list

My first review i want to made is for this SKY branded poker room site. It's my first site where i registered and i receive 20£ free trough LCB as per exclusive promotions so i can try out the many tables they have and their tournaments. I have so many cons for this site, i don't like it too much for many reasons. First thing i see is the software, is poor and the graphic is really basic wich i like it but it cant make a really good site. I hate the pop-up messagges that came out when you are about to start playing and the fact that you can't resize the window. Another thing are the rates, 4 points/cash is very low and bad. The really bad thing is the customer support, there isnt!!! It took me over a week for getting reply for a problem with the software! I play with Sky Poker since it's been opened and i don't reccomend you if you are a low roller player because you can't win, there are so many high-roller players that play high and it's impossible to take advance of win, i play here very few times and i don't win anything, only waste of time and loose of money! I found one good thing on this site and it's the navigation, it's easy and very familiar. I have to suggest you to play in pounds and not in dollars so there is low traffic and you can play with the same players and know their game! If you nearly to play poker stay away from this site! Is the worst poker site where i ever play, one last note...has anyone else noticed three of the same card flopping quite often and someone always has quads...strange! I tell you some information about the software, the company and other that can be useful for you. As i say it's branded SKY and it's owned by British Sky Broadcasting Group stay in Alderney and the software is branded Orbis Technology. My vote is a really bad 1/10!

I've been playing on sky on and off for years, more so recently to see if there is any improvement in this horrendous site. Sadly not! I have been reading all the reviews on this site about how shocking this site is, and each and every one of the revelations is so true. This site has gotta be one of the worst internet poker sites going (I think most internet poker sites have their downsides to say the least, but sky is unbearable, and nothing like real poker, which they claim it is). I also think, based on the terrible game play of so called "players", particularly in tournaments, there can be no other explanation other than there must be computer generated players that sky have planted. This is the only conclusion/explanation I can come to, to justify this awful site and how good players with fabulous cards, both pre and post flop so often lose, particularly when a tournament is well underway (there is no other justification for the terrible play and how hands pan out the way they consistently do on this site). I have also seen many comments in the chat box about people winning when they first join (that’s sky getting you hooked!), and then not winning anymore or not for ages, despite spending back much more than you won. I also know of people who have complained to sky and the regulator, asking them for statistics and evidence that there is absolutely no “match-fixing”, and they either just fob you off or kick you off the site altogether rather than answering. That says it all. As for their freerolls, they are not free at all, you have to pay to play in other games first order to accumulate points and then you can enter a freeroll with your points. So how they claim these games are free I don’t know! At least if they called them pointrolls it would be a little closer to the truth. And now sky have made almost everything a rebuy, including their so called freerolls, which is just them clutching at even more straws in order to get even more money into their coffers.

First of all they do offer 20 £ bonus for first time registrants, which is good to try out the software and poker games. Strange thing is that the welcome bonus has some rules, that other operators does not apply normally. You need to accumulate 250 points per each 10 £ increments and after wager it once. Don't like it at all. Another thing, they have a huge restricted countries list, so You might not be able to join and try their poker. All in all great name with less value.
