This year's Pokerstars World Championship of Online Poker has officially come to an end, and the winner has been announced. Belgian online poker player, Coenaldinho7, has taken the title, accumulating a massive $1.3 million win.
The main event required a $5,200 buy-in, and generated a prize pool of $10 million. It consisted of a total of 1,995 players, and while there was a projected $1.7 million prize, the lucky winner walked away with an amount just shy of this, but still quite impressive.
Ultimately, the pool was divided as follows:
Coenaldinho7 - $1.1 million
AlwaysiNduCe - $1million
Nolet20 - $1.23 million
beertjes79 - $800,000
The winner was up against some steep competition with runner-up, AlwaysiNduCe, who held much of the upper-hand at the final table, starting off with the lead. However, he pushed forward, claiming a chip lead, bringing the event to an end.
