Day 2C finishes
The World Series of Poker main event continued with Day2C on July 11, seeing a lot of fierce action and big names dropping out of the competition. It will continue on Day 3, when all the survivors of Days 1 &2 A, B and C will combine in a single field, which will total 1,753 players - 842 from Day 2AB and 911 from Day 2C.
As for Day 2C, it did not manage to produce an overall chip leader, so this position will belong to the French woman player and Winamax pro, Gaelle Baumann with 505,800.

Some of the big time players that headed for the exit after Day 2C were Doyle Brunson and Phil Ivey, Kristy Gazes, Scott Clements, Matt Savage, Jennifer Tilly, all four of the Mizrachi brothers, Peter Jetten, Jennifer Tilly, Ted Forrest, and Kirk Morrison, Ryan D'Angelo, Matt Jarvis, Jennifer Harman, Blair Hinkle, Prahlad Friedman, Andy Frankenberger, Arnaud Mattern, Melanie Weisner, Viktor Blom, David Sands, Dan Kelly, Matt Affleck and Tom Marchese.
Spectators also lost the chance to watch the performances of 2009 WSOP champion Joe Cada, 2006 WSOP champion Jamie Gold, and celebrity player and actor Jason Alexander.
However, among those who survived the battle are 2010 main event third-place finisher Joseph Cheong, two-time WSOP main event champion Johnny Chan, Jake Cody, Marvin Rettenmaier, One Drop champion Antonio Esfandiari, John Juanda, Freddy Deeb, Shane Warne, Phil Galfond, Jason Mercier, Sorel Mizzi, Chris Moorman and Will Failla.
