“Sit-out” players' accounts to be shut down
When players organized a protest against the changes to the Pokerstars VIP Club awards program in which a number of angry players “sat-out” on 24 cash game tables on January 1, the online poker giant decided not to tolerate such behavior and in return decided to restrict some accounts and lock others.
To keep things straight, PokerStars decided to give advance warning that it reserved the right to the retaliation based on the "degree of disruption to our business" that any protest would cause.
In addition, the company spokesman Steve Day stated: “We may take measures, not necessarily punitive, to minimize [any] disruption.”
