
Another two 2015 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open (SHRPO) Championship events have come to a close with victories by Jason Mercier and Omar Zazay.
The Main Event offered a $5,000,000 guaranteed prize pool and drew in 907 participants including Dan Coleman, Joe Cada, Erik Seidel, Michael Mizrachi and Jonathan Duhamel.
Within 4 days, Omar Zazay and Brian Phillis entered the heads up with Zazay coming in first place.
“It was a really long journey – a four-day tournament and I was just trying to take stay focused and take it one step at a time,” Zazay said.
“It's an amazing feeling. This is very huge for me. It been a lot of hard work. I played a lot of poker and come up short lots of times and feel like I can do better so it's good to accomplish a big title under my belt.”

The $25,400 High Roller - $1,000,000 Guaranteed Event 24 saw a victory for Jason Mercier plus a $652,800 paycheck bringing his live tourney winnings to $16 million.
“It definitely never gets old winning. Each tournament that I have won over the past seven or eight years has definitely had a unique feel to it. It's a different experience every time. You're playing sometimes different games, different people, different cities. Anytime you can win a poker tournament it feels good and I'm just glad I won this one,” Mercier said.
