Punta Cana Poker Classic Taken Down by Californian Pro

Punta Cana Poker Classic Taken Down by Californian Pro
On Oct. 18 the Punta Cana poker tourney ended on a good note for Californian poker player Matthew Weber, who not only bested an entry field of 380 players but also stopped the Canadian winning tradition at the tourney.

As a reward, he received a hefty paycheck to $135,475 as the main prize of the tournament which was held at the Marvelous Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Punta Cana.

The final table of the competition saw Weber outplaying Kelly Kellner, Eric Grenier, Zack Cooke, Gabriel Zacalik, Bill Kontaratos, Fred Swart, Nicola Baseli and Tim Barany, ending up in the heads up with Kellner.

However, Kellner didn't prove to be an obstacle big enough for the unstoppable Californian, and had to settle for a runner up prize of $81,830.
