PokerStars To Present Change to Rules Soon

Players at PokerStars will face a set of rule changes regarding timebank, due to previous complaints about ring games. The new settings should offer a greater amount of time before acting, allowing participants to plan their moves with reservations. The introduction of the new set of rules is set for July 31st. According to participants, the main reason for complaints was the duration of time before and after pre-flops – almost 40 seconds altogether. The casino’s new settings will cut the time in half, providing only 12 seconds for pre-flops without a raise, and 15 for post-flops (also when facing a raise). The intention is to prevent certain players from slowing down the game. The 'Time To Act' setting will apply once the players run out of time. The current limit can be extended by 10 seconds, but it can also be prolonged up to ten minutes, depending on how many hands have been played. The new timebank settings will apply only to ring games and not to zoom games, as the operator formerly pointed out. This is not the first time that PokerStars decided to change the settings. The previous change was introduced in 2013, and opinions were different. At that time, players had only 15 seconds to act pre-flop without raising, and 20 seconds with raising and post-flop. Participants are always surprised by the new set of rules, as they have to adapt their current way of gambling and time for action as soon as possible. The ones that are most benefited by this are the professional players, although they have to remember different timebanks as they usually play at numerous tables simultaneously.
