Matt Damon Hints at New Rounders Movie
Rumors have been swirling for years about a potential sequel to the popular Rounders movie featuring Matt Damon and Ed Norton. It's been almost 20 years since the film took the poker world by storm and helped generate the poker boom back in the early 2000's.
Damon appeared on the Rich Eisen show, and talked about the possibility of a new Rounders movie. Eisen asked Damon about the film. Damon noted the writers of Rounders have also talked about a sequel and have an idea for what it would be.
Given the state of the game, Rounders would most likely be about online poker this time around Damon told Eisen. Norton, has also been quoted as being interested in filming another Rounders movies when appeared on David Letterman in 2014.
Vice on Poker Staking
Vice is one of the most progressive outlets in media. I loved their original Vice Guide to Traveling series when they first hit the scene, and they continued to pour out some of the best content on earth.
Vice Motherboard just released an article covering poker staking. It's a good look inside one of the most unheard of parts of poker. Very few understand how staking works, and that it even exists.
The article talks about the latest win of Brian Rast at the WSOP Players Championship. You can read the article on Vice.com here.
Jonathan Little Launches Poker Training
Jonathan Little is one of the most accomplished poker players in the last decade. He made most of his fame and fortune by winning two WPT titles and earning a WPT Player of the Year award. Hid lifetime earnings are near the $7 million mark, with another million online.
He's almost as famous for his numerous poker training books, and coaching. Many consider him to be one of the best poker coaches around.
His latest book, “Excelling at No Limit Hold Em” is comprised of several of the top players in the world. This includes Hellmuth, Mike Sexton, Ed Miller and many others. In anticipation of the launch, he is hosting a live webinar where you can learn from these same players for free.
Anyone can register for this free event and witness one of the most impressive lineup of poker players teaching poker. According to the site, you can learn other tactics, not taught in the book. It also states that “Most” of the authors will be on hand. We can expect Hellmuth won't be in attendance. But being able to learn from Mike Sexton, Ed Miller, and Olivier Busquet is worth the price of free admission alone.
