Poker news Roundup for the week

Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) has been reported at Americas Cardroom. This isn't the first time they've received DDoS attacks and their Million Dollar Sunday tournament was targeted. The attackers demanded an undisclosed sum in Bitcoins as a ransom. They didn't pay the ransom and managed to stop the attack. James Chen from Taiwan, won the HK$ 80,000 buy-in Macau Poker Cup High Roller event after beating 74 players. His first prize was HK$ 1,704,000 which calculates to approximately $220,000 US dollars. The "heads-up" stage between Chen and Makoto Yoshimichi of Japan lasted just 5 minutes. Players at PokerStars and Full Tilt should take care as there is a malware scam at both sites. The scam was discovered by ESET, an online security company who discovered the malware on mainly Eastern European computers. The malware, called Win32/Spy.Odlanor, enables the hacker to take a screenshot of your computer and view not only the players hole cards but their username as well. Matthew Shepsky has won the Heartland Poker Tour Main Event in Golden Gates along with his first place prize of $227,864. He beat a starting field of 721 players.
