Playboy Poker and the online poker part of Casino Gran Madrid are to close at the end of July. No reason has been given for the closure of Playboy Poker other than it was a business decision. The poker side of Casino Gran Madrid will close down to the Spanish market but the other games will remain.
The Venetian DeepStack Extravaganza III was won by Spanish poker pro Samuel Bernabeu. His prize for taking first place after beating a total field of 547 players was $537,107.
Satellites are running now at Intertops Poker and Juicy Stakes for a prize package to the CPT Punta Cana Main Event in the Caribbean. Players can satellite into the $100 + $10 main event on 9th August for as little as $1+0.10. The $4,000 prize package includes six nights at the five-star Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Punta Cana, $1500 in credits to spend at the resort along with the $900 buyin to the main event. Travel expenses are also included in the prize package. The live tournament takes place from the 6th to the 9th November.
