Party Poker Announces New Boot Camp Series With $63,000 in Weekly Guarantees
With all of the attention on the high stakes games and players, the little guy can feel left out. Tournament fees seem to be increasing across the board at most of the major poker rooms. You can still find the small stakes tournaments, but their frequency is becoming a downward trend. And when a low stakes tournament is offered, its usually a rebuy or reentry which increases the overall buy in by the time players enter multiple times. Party Poker may be the answer to the low stakes blues! Knowing their customers has always been one of their top priorities. And giving them what they want, is what they deliver. Party Poker has announced the launch of their new – “Boot Camp” series of weekly guaranteed tournaments. These tournaments are designed for the low, to micro stakes tournaments players who enjoy tournaments, but can't afford the large buy ins. Each week, a schedule of small buy in tournaments that will cost no more than $2.20 will run daily. The total guarantees for these tournaments each week is $63,000. Guarantees will vary from each tournament, with the larger prize pools coming in the nightly tournaments. Smaller, $50 guaranteed prize pools with a buy in of $0.50 can be found during the day, with larger, $1,000 guarantees running every night in the $1.10 NL Hold Em tournament. The range and variety of tournaments is also something Party Poker made sure to focus on. Buy ins for example range from $0.22, up to a maximum of $2.20. Both Hold Em Omaha Hi-Lo and Omaha tournaments will also be included in the schedule. Not only will different games and buy ins be offered, varying structures can also be played. Six max turbo tournaments, rebuys and reentries, and a new Speed Down tournament. Speed Down tournaments have a variable blind level structure that starts off slow, then speeds up as the blinds get larger. You go from a slow tournament, to a super turbo by the time you hit the final table. Each buy in level also gets its own name. Featherweight, Middleweight, Heavyweight, High Roller, and Flyweight. The Boot Camp series is part of a grander scale that has seen improvements throughout Party Pokers tournament schedule. A restructured schedule with a new Power Series all comprise what Party Poker hopes to be one of the most versatile, and appealing set of tournaments online.
