Last week Pennsylvanian state Representative Mario Scavello revealed plans to introduce a state law that would classify online poker and casino players as criminals; however he may be rethinking such a law after the results of a Google Poll of 500 adults from the state.
The poll was conducted by Online Poker Report and asked:
"PA State Rep. Mario Scavello wants to make playing online poker a crime punishable by jail time. Do you support or oppose his position?"
An overwhelming majority are opposed to this law.
If Scavello's law becomes effective, online gamblers will be charged with misdemeanors.
