
Natan Chauskin, 27, emerged as the winner of the Euro 1,100 buy-in Italian Poker Tour main event in Malta taking top prize of Euro 149,560.
The Belarus player went into the heads up round with 56-year-old Dutch pro Govert Metaal. The players agreed to a 2-way chop that left Euro 20,000 for the winner.
Metaal was the 2013 player of the year and despite making the final table with a low chop stack, he made it through to the heads up to come away with the runner-up prize of Euro 124,000.
