Lock Poker has been the focus of player frustration with slow payouts and most recently has failed to respond to an inquiry sent by Poker Players Alliance in April.
The Alliance now says it has no other option but to inform players and affiliates of the situation.
PPA spokesman Rich Muny said that the Alliance will recommend that players "...educate themselves on the risks involved with Lock Poker and make prudent decisions accordinglyā€¯ if Lock Poker does not address the inquiry.
Muny also suggests that Lock Poker players maintain accurate records in the event that they are of future use.
Muny told an online poker information site: "[Lock Poker's] piecemeal payouts are of great concern, as this is a key identifier of Ponzi schemes. As the PPA has no way of knowing the current status of Lock Poker, it would be to Lock Poker's benefit to set the record straight."
