Is Black Friday Over?

Is Black Friday Over?

Ah, the good old days!

Remember when poker on the Internet opened up? You could download any of those international gambling websites and find yourself playing for cash in the privacy of your own home.

It didn't matter what time of day or night it was. You could set your own schedule, have a winning session, and then have the website send you your money.

You were the master of your fate, the captain of your ship. Everything seemed perfect.

You didn't realize certain government bureaucrats didn't like what was going on. You were having fun and making money, but where were their taxes. Something had to be done to stop this gravy train.

And the U.S. Justice Department stopped it. The news media and the poker world called it Black Friday.

Overnight the train stopped. Bank accounts were frozen, funds seized. Websites were prevented from exchanging cash with their customers. Thousands of Americans were thrown out of business and lost the money they had won.

It was Black Friday.

Now we are in 2018 and things are beginning to look up.

America's Cardroom is back operating again and they are making it possible for the average poker player to try their luck and skill at winning $1 million.

It's called Million Dollar Sunday and to say it is popular with the poker crowd would be a decided understatement.

The tournament is now underway and will run on a weekly basis. The $265 buy-in tournament will start every Sunday at 2 p.m. ET. You can even get into the action cheaper by winning an online satellite tournament. Or you could use the Spin to Get In tournament ticket slot machine to win your entry.

New depositors can double their deposits by up to $1,000. Just download and type in the code promotion CPMDS to get started.

Now if I can only figure out how to use my computer to download this I will be out there competing with the rest of you for the million dollar guarantee.

Whoever said Christmas doesn't come in February was wrong, Baby. It's here. The $1 million guaranteed tournament runs through March 16.

This is just the beginning. Hopefully, the scourges of Black Friday is a thing of the past that will never again haunt the poker world. We shall see what the future produces.

When the Internet was humming with poker games, I did quite well. There were some glitches, of course, and a bit of cheating went on. Hopefully, those flaws have been worked out of the system. I expect a lot more poker action will be generated this year.

The best search engine to find these websites and tournaments is the Internet. Good luck. Let the games begin.
