22-year-old Fedor Holz, a German poker pro, won his second major High Roller tournament within a two week period. This time he was victorious in the $200,000 buy-in World Poker Tour Triton Super High Roller Series Cali Cup in Manila, Philippines where he banked a massive $3,463,500. This win tops his victory in the Alpha 8 tournament around Christmas where he bagged $1,589,219.
The buy-in of $200,000 was the highest for a World Poker Tour event but despite the expensive cost of entrance, the event managed to attract 39 participants plus 13 re-entries creating a prize pool of $10 million.
Holz was seated at a final table with the likes of David Peters, Devan Tang, Steve O'Dwyer, Phil Ivey and Dan Colman following the departure of Paul Phua in 7th place for $401,600 and Mike "Timex" MacDonald taking 8th place and $351,320.
The participants dwindled down to just three including Holz, who was in the lead, David Peters and Devan Tang. Peters eventually knocked out Tang in 3rd place for $1,405,000 and began the heads up round with Holz at a disadvantage. The chip count at the start of the heads up phase stood at 6.88 million for Holz and 3.525 million for Peters.
In the end it was Holz who maintained his lead and sent Peters home as the runner up but his prize quite impressive at $2,309,000.

I don't know how these people do it but in this case I guess being able to afford the two hundred thousand dollar buy in was an important starting point. Wow!
