Around 1.3 million Full Tilt Poker players in the United States have been waiting since Black Friday for their funds blocked in the legal actions against the online poker site back in 2011.
Complicated criminal and civil legal proceedings, pleas and settlements culminated in Pokerstars acquiring Full Tilt Poker when they agreed to pay out hundreds of millions in settlement, global player refunds and payments to the Department of Justice for reimbursement to US punters.
Pokerstars paid out global players months ago, but the DoJ says that an independent claims administrator will be appointed 'soon' to handle the US player situation, whilst around $159 million is now held by the government.
It was in November when the Department expressed their hopes to make an announcement early in the new year, and this week they said that an announcement would be made "soon."
