Free ticket at 32Red Poker

Not too long ago, 32Red sent me an email telling me I had a free ticket on my account. I decided it was time to see if that ticket was still available and to my surprise, it was. The ticket is a Live Tournament satellite ticket valued at Euros 2 + 0.20 and I can use this ticket to sign up to any live event satellite available. Currently, the MPN Poker Tour - next stop Dublin is available so I decided to give it a go. I had to wait a couple of hours before the game started and when it finally did start, there were only 12 players. Well, for a long time there were only 12 players and then I noticed the number of players had increased to 16 due to late registration. The game began and there was the usual crazy all ins to start with. Once the players got that out of their system, the game settled down a little and most players were playing poker as it should be played. I didn't get many decent hands and was posting and folding as usual. I did lose a fair few chips on one hand where my two pairs (Aces and Jacks) were rivered against pocket 5s who hit another five to give him trips. Originally, there was only 1 prize - a Euro 10+1 ticket to the next step. Afer a few more players had joined, the number of prizes went up to 3 x Euro 10+1 tickets, 3 x Euro 2 +0.20 tickets and 7th place wins 40c. I was really hoping to win a "next step" ticket. The game went on and I was posting and folding a lot - I stole a couple of blinds but that was about it until I was dealt pocket Aces as big blind. I was hoping someone would raise the pot and happily they did. I re-raised and the one person that originally raised called. The flop came down 5810 and I bet all in. My opponent called and showed a pair of 6s. My aces held and I took the pot and doubled up. I was in about 4th place at this point. We needed one player to be knocked out in order to make it to the final table. One player had lost quite a few of his chips and started swearing and being abusive. He even started on me and I hadn't even played a hand against him. Next hand he titlted and went all in with 57 off and needless to say, lost. So I made it to the final table and before I knew it, two players were knocked out. I saw the notice pop up in the chat that everyone would win a prize. That was nice to see. Eventually, I was knocked out in 4th position after losing with two pairs against a flush made on the river. My prize was another Euro 2+0.20 Live Poker ticket valid for a year. I was quite disappointed with the end result as I was definitely on form. A good result though and better than winning nothing at all.
