CAPT Seefeld Main Event Comes to an End

By now, the news has circulated that Intertops and Juicy Stakes Poker satellite winners did not make it past Day 1 in the CAPT Seefeld Main Event in Austria. Over 300 players, from 20 different countries around the world, made up the main event. Some of them included well-renowned individuals such as Josip Simunic, Jan-Peter Jachtmann, Rino Mathis, Ronny Kaiser, and others. Only 18 of these players survived to the final round. Someone did take home the title, however, and that feat belongs to Peter Roche, a native of Ireland. He walked away with a prize of €78,000. Following Roche in second and third place were two German players. Only one woman made it to the final table; Danielle Rollinger from Luxemburg. She held out strong for quite a while, until Mambamenni went all-in on a hand, causing her to strike out at 6th place with a €16,200 prize. The player who held the highest number of chips going into the final hands was Jan-Peter Jachtmann, after having a rocky start. Markus Dürnegger topped out at 4th place with a €19,800 prize, followed by Mambamenni and Jactmann in 3rd with €55,800 each, while Roche went home with the win.
