British Poker Awards were held this week at the Hippodrome Casino in London. Although it was a formal event, attendants were casually dressed and the winners made the audience laugh, with being obviously surprised by the titles they gained.
The surprised and witty winners were Sam Trickett, Neil Channing, Liv Boeree, Vicky Coren and Sam Grafton. They were all pleased and honored, but at the same time seemingly confused on why they are being singled out. Channing's remark that he had not written a ****ing blog for nine months, was followed by a roaring laughter from the audience. Sam Tricket had no idea why he won Best Tournament Player, and Tony Kendall was surprised to learn he won Best Contribution to Promoting Poker. All in all it was a great night, filled with laughter and overall enjoyment.
