Well, since I shared my losing streak with you members and received some marvelous feedback from some of you, I think it's only fair to report I'm back to my winning ways.
It took a lot of concentrating and wondering what I was doing wrong. I followed the same advice I give to you members and switched games.
After starting out like a house afire in the $6-12 mixed Omaha High-Low and seven-card stud high-low game, I began losing. Nothing I tried worked to get back on the winning track, so I switched over to $4-8 Omaha High-Low with a kill.
A kill pot generally doubles the stakes. The pot is killed when a person scoops the pot and collects over $60. At that point, the winner leaves $6 in the pot and the stakes increase.

People who play Omaha High-Low seem to be more friendly and more sociable than Teas Hold'em players. They joke around, laugh off their losses and compliment their opponents on the quality of their play.
The object in Omaha High-Low is not to win half the pot. It is to scoop the pot. For this reason, the four starting cards you play are very important. All four cards must work together to give you as many chances as possible to make the nut flop.I started winning almost from the moment I sat down at the table. The feeling I had scooping up those chips after so many weeks of losing was indescribable.
In poker, success breeds success and my attitude toward winning improved sharply. I was beginning to enjoy poker again.
I would like to thank Jade, Pink and Jenna Rox for your encouraging emails. It only proves to me we have the greatest members in gambling on this website. Hey, when I get down to Florida, maybe all of us could meet for a cruise on the SeaEscape, the Vegas Express or one of the other gambling cruise ships that disembark from Hollywood or Miami.
