  5. Blue did u hear about this. Internet gambling sites PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker and Absolute Poker charged in massive fraud bust he founders of three of the largest Internet poker sites bribed and tricked their way past U.S. gambling laws, federal prosecutors said Friday. Nearly a dozen people connected to international gaming sites PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker and Absolute Poker were charged with bank fraud, money laundering and illegal gambling - and their companies face over $3 billion in penalties and forfeitures, authorities said. "These defendants concocted an elaborate criminal fraud scheme, alternately tricking some U.S. banks and effectively bribing others to assure the continued flow of billions in illegal gambling profits," U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara said. "In their zeal to circumvent the gambling laws, the defendants also engaged in massive money laundering and bank fraud." A 2006 law banned U.S. banks and credit card companies from helping to transfer money between gamblers and international gaming operators. Under the indictment unsealed Friday in Manhattan Federal Court, some of the sites disguised payments as jewelry and golf balls. Others took advantage of the financial crisis by offering multi-million dollar investments to small banks that were in trouble, prosecutors said. "They lied to banks about the true nature of their business," said FBI Assistant Director Janice Fedarcyk. "Then, some of the defendants found banks willing to flout the law for a fee. The defendants bet the house that they could continue their scheme, and they lost." Eleven U.S. and Canadian citizens, most based overseas, were charged and are expected to be arraigned Friday. Authorities have also sought to freeze 75 bank accounts in 14 countries used by the gambling sites. sshifrel@nydailynews.com Read more: http://www.nydailynews.com/news/ny_crime/2011/04/15/2011-04-15_internet_gambling_sites_pokerstars_full_tilt_poker_and_absolute_poker_charged_in.html#ixzz1Jd9Jt8TO the funny thing was i was playing at pokerstars real money games and i like to play 3 or 4 at a time. So i got off of one to go to another and it stated my country does not allow real money play, but as long as i was already on a table i could play but finally i got off all of them and now can't play. Do u know anything about this and i have some $$ in my acct. would i be able to get it out?
  6. Just wondering, if they don't rake from every hand. How do they make money to stay in business? Maybe Blue can check this place out and give us her ok to play there.
  7. Thanks blue for the infor. I use to play at fulltilt and i seen Tom Dwan and Phil Ivey play there. The one thing about watching high stakes games is the idiots who observer and start chatting. They say the most stupidest stuffs.
  8. Again tough call. i would fold depending on how much $$ i have. If i have less than 25% of what he has i would call. If i have more i would fold. Knowing u. u made the right call.
  9. well i finished 90. i knew most of the time he was just trying to steal the blinds. well i was down to 8000 and made the cut at this time. So the guy did his raise bet so i thought i just go allin i had A8 and guess what he at AK. I lost. Bad timing, thats the problem when going up against bully (timing) like Kenny Rogers would said u gotta know when to holdem and when to foldem.
  10. good call Blueday u know how to read a player. i got one for u. i'm in a tournament (4 man). To cash is 104 and at this time in the game the blind is 250-500 and there is 140 players left. i have 26000 the guy across from me has 65000 and the other 2 have 11000. The big stack start to bully the table. raising 2500 3 out of 4 hands. so nobody is calling him and i try once i had AK and the flop was no good. i check and he raises 5000 so i folded. what would u do in this situation? Just let him steal the blind or try to call his bluff, but just remember u are near the cut off point.
  11. I would fold. It not worth calling cuz ur A is only semi strong and he might have AQ,AK or flush. Now if i had AK i might call the funny thing is because its only 45c. Donks don't care they call anything like u said early. I played the ring games 5c-10c table min buyin is $2 even 10c-25c min buyin $5 u see these chinese player only go allin. They don't play out their hand. If they double up they leave the table. If they lose the reload the min. I hate that kind of play.
  12. Yea mines freezes alot. I lost handfull of times cuz of that. what piss me off is when i play head-up and thats happen, but it also happens a good number of times to my opponent. in fact i was in a $22 head-up match and the guy played 1 hand and didn't come back. I hope they fix it soon.
  13. I been playing at FullTilt everyday for a few months now. I also play at Pokerstars. I notice in the past 2-3 months, lots of people including myself been have connection problems. I don't see it at pokerstars and i try playing at Bodog,AP and another site and i don't see other places having this problem. Does anybody know why this is happening?
